organization join a Hangout?
Yes. External participants can join a Hangout (even if they don't have a Google Apps account). Visit the Google Apps Help Center to learn more about requirements for external guests.
Can I view old Hangouts messages?
Yes. You can save all of the chat messages sent within a Hangout, as long as history is enabled for that Hangout. History is on by default, but you can turn on or off for each Hangout at any time (unless your administrator turns on or off chat history by default for all messages).
If your Hangouts history is enabled, messages are automatically saved in Gmail. You can then use Gmail’s search option to look for specific conversations you’ve had. For more information on Hangouts history, see our tip Find relevant information from old chats by searching your Hangouts history.
Do I need a Google account to join
You don't need a Google account to join a Hangout. You can join a Hangout if you have the URL of the video call.
